The midsole is reinforced with glass fibre and the outsole’s Vibram construction will stand the test of time. Cleat slots in the sole are a problem area for winter cycling footwear, causing heat loss from cold cleats, by the principle of conductivity. The 45NRTH Wolvhammer solves the problem by using a layer of special NASA-approved aerogel which has incredible insulating properties, yet is almost as light as air.
