I chose the Devinci E-Troy because it’s an extremely versatile eBike. Whether climbing or descending, this bike offers me stability and agility. Additionally, the E-Troy, with its modern geometry adapted to Quebec’s terrain, dominates descents.

I’m a cyclist who enjoys climbing mountains because I know there will be a good descent afterwards, and the Devinci E-Troy has all the capabilities to tackle highly technical and steep descents at high speeds. A great advantage of the Devinci E-Troy is its 725Wh battery. I can cover approximately 70 to 80 km in the forest!

Even though it's an eBike, the performance of the components remains unchanged because several parts (brakes, fork, shock absorber, etc.) have been specifically chosen to compensate for the bike's weight.

It's always fun to support a local company. Devinci is a Chicoutimi-based company that still designs and manufacture all its bike frames in Quebec! Good to know, Devinci offers a lifetime warranty on all their bikes.

1. Wheels

Brand : We Are One
Model : Revolution Strife 29” with Industry Nine 1/1 hubs

I ride with We Are One Strife carbon wheels, proudly handcrafted in British Columbia. The Strife model is the stiffest version from We Are One. They are designed for eBikes or downhill bikes.

I paired the We Are One Strife rim with an Industry Nine 1/1 hub because it has stronger engagement points than other hubs. It is approved for eBikes that generate more force on the cassette body.

The carbon wheels provide better impact absorption. Additionally, carbon deforms and offers better responsiveness in corners. As a bonus, We Are One wheels come with a lifetime warranty!

2. Rear Tire

Model : Minion DHR II Double Down 29”x2.4” with CushCore Pro insert

I use a Double Down tire with a CushCore insert on the rear because I need extra protection, and it allows me to maximize the pressure on my rear tire for maximum grip.

3. Grips

I use DMR Deathgrip grips because they are extremely sticky. I ride without gloves, so having a stickier and more cushioned grip allows me to have good control during my bike outings.
