SKS - Over 100 Years of Quality
A Century of History
As a leading manufacturer of bike accessories, SKS has been ensuring wheels roll smoothly for over 100 years. Our history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute in Sundern, Germany, started manufacturing curtain rods. In 1932, Wilhelm Blome took over the company, purchased a tire inflator company, and began producing metal pumps. By 2022, SKS has expanded its product line to include pumps, fenders, bags, tools, bike liquids, digital tire pressure gauges, smartphone holders, and high-tech electric bicycle accessories.

We will continue to innovate and manufacture high-quality cycling accessories for years to come. Our slogan "Ride on!" reflects our daily commitment to innovation and quality. With tried and tested products, innovative solutions, and fresh ideas, SKS ensures quality, functionality, and design under the "Made in Germany" label. Products are developed in our internal design and development departments before undergoing extreme testing.
A Global Leader
SKS now delivers cycling accessories to more than 90 countries and is a leading manufacturer of cycling gear in the international competitive cycling segment. The company employs nearly 400 people in Sundern and over 700 employees across its three combined divisions. In 2019, SKS produced over 4.5 million fenders, over 500,000 bicycle mini pumps, and 390,000 bicycle floor pumps.
