History of Fox Factory Holding Corp.

Origins and Foundation

In 1974, Bob Fox and his brother Geoff started a small business distributing suspension components for motocross bikes. By 1977, the company split into two distinct entities: Fox Racing and Fox Head, Inc., led by Geoff Fox, and Fox Factory, Bob Fox's suspension parts production company. A holding company, Fox Factory Holding, was established in 1978. Fox Factory specializes in producing suspension components for motorcycles, automobiles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, and mountain bikes.

Expansion and Acquisitions

Fox Factory went public in 2013. In December 2014, Fox acquired the cycling brand Race Face and the assets of Easton. Later, in December 2015, Fox acquired certain assets from Marzocchi's mountain bike product lines. These acquisitions allowed Fox to diversify its product portfolio and expand its presence in the cycling market.
