History of Fox Factory Holding Corp.
Origins and Foundation
In 1974, Bob Fox and his brother Geoff started a small business distributing suspension components for motocross bikes. By 1977, the company split into two distinct entities: Fox Racing and Fox Head, Inc., led by Geoff Fox, and Fox Factory, Bob Fox's suspension parts production company. A holding company, Fox Factory Holding, was established in 1978. Fox Factory specializes in producing suspension components for motorcycles, automobiles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, and mountain bikes.
Expansion and Acquisitions
Fox Factory went public in 2013. In December 2014, Fox acquired the cycling brand Race Face and the assets of Easton. Later, in December 2015, Fox acquired certain assets from Marzocchi's mountain bike product lines. These acquisitions allowed Fox to diversify its product portfolio and expand its presence in the cycling market.
Products and Market
Fox Factory Holding Corp. designs, engineers, manufactures, and markets high-performance products and systems for customers worldwide. As the holding company of FOX Factory, Inc., it offers premium products used primarily on bicycles, side-by-side vehicles, on-road vehicles, off-road vehicles, trucks, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), snowmobiles, specialty vehicles, and applications. Some products are specifically designed and marketed for various original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in cycling and powered vehicles, while others are distributed to consumers through a global dealer and distribution network.
