Magped - Innovative Magnetic Pedals

How It All Began

The story of Magped actually began in 2012 with manual conversions of standard pedals. The first pedals with a magnetic system were distributed and tested among friends. It soon became clear that the ability to adjust the height of the magnets and their flexible mounting was a key factor and decisive for the functionality of the magnetic system. Based on this patent, Paul Wessiack and Harald Himmler decided in 2018 to develop high-quality magnetic pedals based on modern CNC production and to produce them in series.

High-Tech Pedals

At Magped, all pedals are optimized for weight and robustness using complex FEM simulations as early as the design phase. Our engineers use these simulations to perform precise durability calculations and topology optimizations. Each prototype is tested on our in-house test stand to ensure maximum safety and durability. Once development is complete, a pre-series production specimen is then officially verified by the German Zedler Institute and approved with an official test protocol.
